Guitar passion...

 I began my instrument-making activities in Vancouver, BC, in the 1970s, as a maker of Renaissance lutes. During that period Vancouver was the centre of a very dynamic community of instrument builders, and I had the good fortune to work with and learn from a number of renowned luthiers. Gradually, under the pressure of making a living, I drifted away from lute-making and adopted the career of cabinetmaker, which has remained my usual full-time occupation to this day. During past years the enduring and central interest of my youth, namely the jazz guitar, first as a player and subsequently as a guitar-maker, has become once again a primary focus.
